The state of Edinburgh

The retiring Chief Exec of the Scotch Whisky Association wrote an article in The Times yesterday which was not very complimentary about the state of Edinburgh's streets (and a few other things).  See here and here but as the Times is often behind a paywall (you can get 2 articles a week free), here is the BBC report.  And the Evening News front page today.
